Fantasy Winter Retreat Book Tag

I was tagged to do this by Riddhi @ Whispering Stories. A big thanks to her. She has a fantastic blogger, and if you have not read her posts yet, head over there and check her out!

This tag was created initially by Sumedha over at the Wordy Habitat. She, too, is an excellent blogger!

Here’s the premise: You get to go on a week-long retreat to chill and have fun after the stressful 2020 experience. Set the scene of your dream winter retreat and, using the prompts, round up the characters you’d like to vacation with!

Step One: Travel destination and accommodation

I guess with the time of the year, who can avoid New York? It is snowy right now; hailing from a sub-tropical country and witnessing snow three times in my entire 25 years of existence; I would love to go to NYC at this time of the year. Do I cope nicely with the cold? Nope! Do I care about that? Absolutely not!

I want to stay at some cosy hotel and relax and write. Sometimes, I would also love to go out and bask in the snow, take photos of life there, and try out the tourist spots and food.

Step Two: Who’s Joining!?

With this, let’s dive into the prompts!

  • A fun character who’s presence would cheer up any situation

I’d have to choose two characters for this one and say, the Weasley twins from the Harry Potter series. Although I am aware of what happened to Fred, I choose not to acknowledge that. 😢

  • A character who would parent everyone

Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series.

  • A character who would plan games and other activities

Bella Russo from Spring at Blueberry Bay.

  • A character who would rather cozy up in blankets and sleep/laze around all day

Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter series.

  • A character who had to cancel other plans to be here

Isaac Scott from the Hope Island series

  • A character who bought their work along with them

Noah Campbell from Sunrise Over Sapphire Bay.

  • A character who would not leave their partner’s side

Angel Mazzeo from Autumn Skies over Ruby Falls.

  • A character who is amused by everyone’s antics

The legendary Hercule Poirot from Agatha Christie’s works. Always an observant man.

I tag…

Over the last couple of months, I have done three tags. I would like to say how exciting this is. I do not want to tag anyone else exclusively here since I remember when I wanted to do these a lot and couldn’t because I wasn’t tagged. So, if you wish to do this tag, go on! I tag you! And please let me know if you do it! I am always looking for bookish recommendations. 🙂

Again, a big thanks to Riddhi for nominating me! 😇
