Monthly Wrap Up #1: April 2022

Oh, hello there!

Remember my Monthly Favourites and Gratitude Log series? Yeah. Why not start a new one, where I can combine the two and spare you of the boring details?

So, here I am, with a recap of all of April before we start a brand new chapter!

I really cannot believe May is just tomorrow! I feel like 2022 is the fastest year till now. How does Einstein’s Theory of Relativity work, again? Yeah, never mind, let’s get into it.

🗓️ Events

  • I got a tattoo! My first-ever! I am providing a picture below to see, but I am pretty proud of the work. I loved how it turned out to be, and quite proud of myself for not backing out! 😂

I guess I will let you all decipher the meaning. It’s not that hard, and it’s pretty relative for different individuals!

  • I watched a movie with my parents after a long time. It is called The Kashmir Files by Vivek Agnihotri. It showcases the traumas of Kashmiri Pandits during communal warfare. The film is based on the actual events of 1993. It brought tears to our eyes.
  • I also met my best friend after two years! Yes, we did not meet each other physically since the pandemic started! And then, finally, we made a plan and ended up going on a brunch one Sunday afternoon.

❤️ Favourite Things

  • 30 Before 30: 30 Things To Do Before You Turn 30 by Elle Australia: Last month, I tried out paragliding during my vacation. And it was one of the best experiences of my life! That ignited a fire to try out new things more often, so I came across this article online to get some ideas. You don’t have to do EVERYTHING. But, it indeed gives you some ideas. You can read my curated list here.

I’d also like to mention some of my new favourite apps:

  • Glasp: The Co-founder and PM of Glasp, Kei Watanabe, reached out to me last September to try out this app. I did so and immediately saw how this app has a lot of potentials. It helps me highlight and organise the articles I read online. This is a tremendous help for someone who likes to curate online content for later use! I started using it more this month, and I love it! If you like doing the same, you can try it out too! Don’t forget to add me there!
  • Centered: This is a new addition to my list. I came across this on a blog post. Centred helps you focus on a task with the help of the Pomodoro technique. There is one caveat! You get to work along with other people! It has helped me be more productive this month! I am using it right now while writing this article! If this suits your needs, you can sign up too. Don’t forget to add me there! Let’s be productive together!

I plan to do a detailed review of them later. Yes, that’s how much I love the apps!

🌱 Reflections

Overall, it was a good month. After going on a mini-vacation in March, I returned to work feeling fresh and renewed. Movies, brunches, and tattoos it was a good and enjoyable time. But no worries, I still managed to read a couple of pages every day. I do regret not reading that often. Sometimes, life happens, and that’s alright.

Here’s to May! 🍻 I can already tell you that it will be pretty busy and, perhaps, stressful for me! Why? Well, that’s a story for the next time! Till then, let’s hope for the best!

What about you? How was your month? And what are your plans for May?

  1. I love your tattoo, it’s very pretty! And it’s amazing that you got to see your best friend again after such a long time, you must have been thriled!
The list of 30 things to do before you turn 30 is so cool, I kinda want to make one too now! It seems like April was good for you, so I hope May is even better!
